About IndiaSkills

IndiaSkills is a national-level skills competition in India that provides a platform for young talents to showcase their skills across various trades. It is organized by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the guidance of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government Of India. The competition identifies, nurtures, and develops skilled professionals who represent India in the WorldSkills Competitions. IndiaSkills aims to promote skill development, excellence in vocational training, and recognizes the best in the country's skills talent. It is held every year (regional & national) with the support of State Governments, Industry, Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs), Corporates, and Partner institutes. IndiaSkills Competition has the potential to reach the grassroots level and make an impact.

IndiaSkills 2024 with a tagline of #SkillSeJeetengeDuniya was organized from 15th – 19th May 2024 at IICC (Yashobhoomi), Dwarka, New Delhi. This year over 900 participants from 30+ states/ union territories competed in 61 skills such as Graphic Design Technology, AR/VR, beauty therapy, cyber security, prosthetics & makeup, drone film making, floristry, web technology, cloud computing, industrial design technology, water technology, costume design painting and decorating, health and social care, among others.
